Terraces, suburbs and town-centre flats
Victorian terraces sit closest to the centre, 1930s semis fill the suburbs further out, and the town centre itself has a growing stock of flats and maisonettes in low and high-rise blocks.
Loft conversions, extensions, renovations and roofing — designed, drawn and built by one in-house team, working the Norwood, Sydenham, Dulwich and Streatham direction from our Bromley & Croydon base.
South London
Norwood, Sydenham, Dulwich and Streatham sit across several different boroughs — depending on the exact address, that can mean Lambeth, Croydon, Lewisham or Southwark. We check which authority covers your street before anything gets drawn up.
From our Bromley and Croydon base we've built a strong reputation across South London's boroughs, working on the area's mix of Victorian terraces, Edwardian conversions and 1930s family homes.

Permitted development rights only apply to houses. A flat or maisonette almost always needs a full planning application to Croydon Council, even for internal alterations that touch the structure.
Steel beams usually bear on the party wall, so notices go to your neighbours a couple of months ahead. On flats, the freeholder or management company often needs written consent too — we check both.
Large parts of Croydon sit inside controlled parking zones, and streets near the centre can be tight for a lorry. Skip permits and deliveries get planned around your road before we start.
Every build goes through full building regulations and ends with a completion certificate — the document a surveyor asks for later.

Most of what goes wrong on a build is a decision nobody made. Being nearby is how those get made the same day.

They finished our loft conversion ahead of time and were very obliging when we asked for small changes along the way. A genuinely lovely team.
I was really impressed with the quality of the workmanship and how polite the team were throughout. I'd happily recommend Easy Build to friends.

No — South London isn't one authority. Norwood and Streatham typically fall under Lambeth or Croydon, while Sydenham and Dulwich typically fall under Lewisham or Southwark, depending on exactly where the property sits. We confirm which borough covers your address before any drawings or submissions go in, since permitted development rules and conservation area designations vary between them.
Most likely, yes. South London's Victorian and Edwardian terraces sit close together, and most loft conversions and many extensions here involve steels or foundations near a shared wall, which brings the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 into play. We identify this at survey stage and prepare and serve the notices for you.
Yes. A lot of South London's terraces and semis were split into upper and lower flats or maisonettes decades ago, which means a loft conversion or extension usually needs freeholder and sometimes leaseholder consent before design work starts. We factor that step into the programme rather than treating it as a surprise.
We're based between Bromley and Croydon and work the boroughs and neighbourhoods within reach of that base, broadly in the Norwood, Sydenham, Dulwich and Streatham direction, along with the gateway towns of Penge, Croydon, Beckenham and Bromley. If you're unsure whether your address is on our patch, call us and we'll tell you straight.
