Skimming, rendering, coving and dry lining, from an in-house plastering team working across Bromley, Croydon, Kent and Surrey.
A good plastering job makes or breaks the finish of a room. Our plasterers work closely with our carpenters and decorators, so walls and ceilings are prepared properly before any finish goes on — new extensions, loft conversions and renovated rooms, or a standalone repair job on its own.
From a full new-build skim to a single cracked ceiling, the same care goes into the preparation.

One room or a whole house — we work out what's involved over the phone or on site.
We check for damp, look at the existing surface, and give a fixed written price.
Old plaster hacked off where needed, surfaces made good, dot-and-dab or board fixed.
Scrim taped joints, then a backing coat on solid walls or straight to skim on new board.
The smooth top coat, trowelled to a consistent, even surface across the whole room.
We leave it to dry properly and tell you honestly when it's ready to decorate.
Days, not weeks, for most single-room jobs — larger projects run alongside the rest of the build.

The work, your property, everyone on site.
A fixed written quote before we start. Nothing added without asking.
Products named on the spec. Nothing substituted without asking.
Realistic drying-time estimates given up front, not discovered mid-job.
One point of contact, and we pick up after handover.

They finished our loft conversion ahead of time and were very obliging when we asked for small changes along the way. A genuinely lovely team.
I was really impressed with the quality of the workmanship and how polite the team were throughout. I'd happily recommend Easy Developments to friends.

Yes. We take on standalone plastering jobs — a single room, a ceiling, a hallway — as well as plastering for full extensions, loft conversions and renovations.
Freshly skimmed walls generally need around a week to dry per coat, depending on ventilation, room size and the time of year — it takes longer in a cold, damp winter than a warm summer. We'll advise on realistic timings for your project so you're not decorating over plaster that's still wet.
Yes. We repair cracked, damp-affected or damaged plaster on both walls and ceilings, from a hairline crack that needs scrim and skim to a ceiling that's blown and needs taking back to the board.
Skimming is the thin, smooth top coat applied to internal walls and ceilings, usually over plasterboard or an existing backing coat. Rendering is the equivalent for the outside of a building — a tougher, weatherproof coating applied to external masonry to protect it and finish it.
Yes, we carry out external rendering as well as internal plastering, so a project that needs both — a new extension, for example — can be finished by the same team.
Yes. Where a wall is being built from scratch or dot-and-dabbed onto blockwork, we plasterboard it before skimming. Some jobs — a stud partition, for instance — are dry lined and skimmed as one continuous process.
